Okay ill help you out.

First you unscrew the stock shift ****.

Then you se one of these

Once you cut it to a desired height you use some old fashioned white elmers glue.

it looks like that incase you cant find it in the store.

Once you have the glue you then glue back the ****.

learn how to search.

Go with what Gamma posted. Did you get one new or used? It's nothing exactly difficult, time to install can be anything from 30 to 1hr+, it's all on how familiar you're with cars, and don't work at night lol.

The install is the same from 2005-2010, no changes.

Holy crap dude, SEARCH. All of your questions have been answered at least 100 times.

No, you don't take apart the armrest.

No, you won't void you warranty. A warranty is only void if the aftermarket part is the cause of the warranty claim. So don't mess it up.

one of the best diy's...as for the "black keeper" (I forget what its called exactly) I was able to lightly tap on the rod with a small hammer (pliers may work too). rod will slide one way and the keeper will fall off.

I took the arm rest and everything out..was a super easy install..hardest part is the "washer" with the reverse teeth..i actually just cut it out..probably the easiest way if you have a dremmel bc your new one should have a new one..
