Sketchy about the carfax
So I bought my 07 TC from a chevy dealership and i just now think about it and they never gave me a carfax nor did i ask (stupid me) . I was wondering if anyone could do me the huge favor of running my VIN for carfax because it says it has 32 history reports and it kinda scares me to say the least since I bought it used .
I am pretty sure somewhere it says that it's against the rules to request someone to run a carfax for you..I could be wrong and thinking of another forum..that being said..
If you are that worried about it then pay the money and run it yourself.

i understand you guys wanna get your post count up but neither of you have helped me worth 3 pennies . if youre not about to help me out and give me a carfax DONT POST ! whats the point ? get your post count up cause your sperm count aint ?

so.. you're pretty much begging for someone to help you get a carfax because you were too careless to ask the dealership yourself? and too cheap to get it yourself?
you want an option? go back to the dealership you purchased the car from.. and ask them yourself.
we're here to help guide you... not spoon-feed you.
with that kind of attitude, you won't get any help beyond what i've already suggested.

Just because it says 32 history reports doesn’t mean there all bad reports. I just bought a 05 pathfinder and it had over 40 “reports but when I paid the 36 bucks for the report most of them were oil changes, recalls, new owner and things the dealers had done to it.
P.S. don’t come on here with your 1st post asking for money. That is really lame lol. No one will want to help you.

Just pay the money for the car fax, it was your mistake, so fix it yourself.
lol nobody here that responded to ur OP needs to get their post count up... but if thats how u see people on here, be prepared to be flamed with the second post you have ever made on this site.
and history reports does not mean they are all bad. If a dealership changed your oil, thats one service record.
if you want a cheap alternative to carfax, use autocheck

ok this is how i go around to get "free" carfax report.
Bring your car into a small used car dealership. tell them youre thinking of getting it traded in
They will run the carfax report for you because they want to check the history themselves. After they're done, ask if they can print you out a copy.
just make sure you say it in a nice, respectful tone. I do that all the time.
If you want carfax, go to any dealership, the smaller the better, don't go to toyota or something.
If you want autocheck, go to carmax

You bought a lemon, congrats! Seriously its likely inspections, oil changes, and random other crap. If you're so worried about the car, then pay the money or go back to them and ask. Just because you're cheap and messed up by not asking doesn't mean people want to up their post count.
Better yet, let him PM you the VIN then tell him it's a salvage title. Then offer to buy it at quarter the market value. (and if you couldn't tell, that's sarcasm just then)
There is a reason why it's inherently stupid to ask for carfax's over a forum.
