Mechanically, pretty much the same, the engine for the 07 and up had minor changes to the internal(don't know exactly all of the changes) and has a different MAF sensor from the 05-06.
actually mechanically they are VERY different. the new tc's (2011) are 2.5L 6 speed while the 05-10 are 2.4L 5speeds

Goto the Aero and Exterior section, theres a giant sticky about HID's. Most people on this site choose between DDM Tuning and HIDExtra. The choice is yours. I Prefer the DDM setup myself.

I have a TRD quickshifter which come in stock height. Am I able to modify the TRD quickshifter by installing a TWM short shifter?

TRD comes with the complete cage while TWM sells only the shifter. I'm thinking of combining the two but just want some assurance that it can be done before buying.

Is the cage for the TRD the same as OEM? Any the short throw shifter should install just fine then.

I swapped them out without really comparing the two. From what I remember they looked similar except for the bushings that go underneath the cage. The oem has them incorporated w the cage, TRD has them separate.

Didn't want to make a new thread. Pretty confident this has not been asked here before and I assume it wont get much attention in this weak thread.

Is it possible to have my headlights turn on when I unlock the car? The dome lights fade on and light up when I unlock them, I figured it would be great to have the headlights turn on as well. Should be as simple as finding the feed that tells the dome lights to turn on when unlocked. Transfer or tap into that feed and wallah? Could be way more complicated and I'm sure it is...Any thoughts?

Do you have an HID kit installed? This will definitely kill the ballast. I'm not all into electrical work so maybe someone chimes in soon about wiring this up.

Hey, I'm fairly new to SL and I used the search box to search for the answer to the question I'm about to ask but didn't have much luck.. I'm interested in halo lights for my tC and one site mentioned that while I am installing the rings, I can also clear/black out my turn signals. So my question is this, what does the clear/blacked out turn signal look like and how is it done?

its looks ok. Clear is done with the acrylic sheets that are used in most offices and school for light fixtures. However, almost every single post ive read regarding people who made their own clear corners wasnt good. They break very easily. Black is done with VHT nightshades.

Quick question!
I know there are threads on this in which I have read off and on, but I guess I'm looking for a quick answer and/or opinion on anyone who has the RL catback exhaust and if it's any good? I've heard the Megan catback exhaust is better. It's more $$, but I know usually the more $$ it is, the better. So anyone out there with answers/opinions, let me know! In the mean time, I'll go read any threads on the subject.
Thanks in advance!

i believe that means your brake pads either need to be replaced are close to needing replacement.

serious. wouldnt joke about something like brakes. I think (not positive though) that when the brake pads get low the light turns on. Usually means you need fluid as well.
