hey i got the injen intake and trd exhaust on my sw tC and i was wondering will it pass a smoke check? and if it doesnt, what do i do? this is just outta curiosity for future reference. thanks.

 

i don't know what state you are in but in ca, the trd exhaust is fine but the injen has to come off. has to be stock intake for smog unless you know someone who'll pass you on the visual. but in ca it's once every two years.

 

you won't need to smog a brand new car for a while, worry about it then.

 

alright cool. thanks. i guess i have to start making friends who work at a smog check place! cause the installation on the intake was kinda troublesome so taking it on and off for smog check is goin to be such a hassle. and yeah, i live in So-cal.

 

are injen intake CARB legal? for the price they charge, i thought they would be.

 

I don't believe the injen are CARB exempt. Also on a new car I believe the smog abatement fee covers you for 6 years without having to get smogged.
