Default So I want to the dealer today... good news *s/c news*

Well I ordered my silver streak tc today, and was asking about the s/c. The Scion manager told me that the s/c would be introduced at the sema show, and that the install includes a reflash of the ecu, new injectors, and crank pulley. The price no more that $3500

He's absolutely correct. Did he mention the Stage 2 and 3 upgrades?

SEMA happens from November 2 to November 5 in Las Vegas. That's when it will hit market.

I love the ECU flash. No piggyback computer.

Yeah, stage 2 next spring. another reflash, intercooler claimed crank hp 260. Stage 3 sometime with internals, spring, valves, pistons, rods. No price or hp claims

I have to admit when I heard about the stage 2 and 3 mods I started drooling. It's impressive how fast TRD is putting stuff out for the tC, they're usually slower than stop!

Any price estimates on the stage 2 setup ... 260hp would be respectable for a car that size/weight!

I think I'd be satisfied with 300hp and 3,500 for 50hp hardly sounds worth it. but hey that's just my opinion.

You haven't tuned cars much have you. Horsepower gains are $$ If you want cheap hp go Nitrous, but it is a little more risky

30% increase in power over base hp is a great deal for $3500

dude I rather spend my 3500 on a turbo system then some overpriced supercharger putting out 50hp. at least with an after market turbo I'm sure I can get alot more hp. I know what horse power costs my friend and if you pay 3500 for 50hp then you obviously don't know jack and should stick to sound system upgrades.

The compression ratio is 9.6 to 1. A turbo needs lower compression to make huge hp numbers. But hey, go strap a turbo to your engine boost 20 psi and ping away.

Whatever you say man. I feel no need to educate you. All I'm saying is that $3500 is a little steep for 50hp.

Granted $3500 is alot of money, but superchargers are more reliable, require less maintaince, and generate less heat. And as we all know, heat is hps enemy. I'm not saying that a turbo won't ultimately generate more hp per dollar, but they are a lot more headache, not to mention viod the powertrain warrenty. And please don't educate me, as a person who has owned a MR2 turbo I am well aware of the advantages, disadvantages, and physics involved

you owned an mr2 so you think you're great LMAO. we own (present tense) two ferraris what exactly is your point? my freind super chargers require more maintanence then a turbo. you obviously don't know jack. And there are ways to combat the heat to make the set up as efficient as possible.

cars are like babies, even a retarded oaf can have one.

(not that im calling you a retard or anything).

If you think its price is too steep, don't buy it.

Turbos, especially modern water-cooled and ball bearing ones, should last longer than a supercharger (by virtue of the turbo having fewer moving parts) and require no maintenance (as the moving parts it does have are all self contained.) Supercharger belts and seals will require regular replacement (I don't know how often.) With proper oil changes, a turbo should last as long as the rest of the engine. A supercharger should too, but requires more maintenance.

Where did I say anything about owning an mr2 made me an expert/guru I was stating a fact that I had one and I delt with a turbo on a regular basis. You are the one that turned this into a ____ing contest. So go drive your ferrari and shut the f##k up.

Regardless, I be the bigger man here and ignore anything else you say
