I love seattle and I have lived on tropical islands and in other states but I keep coming back. It is beautiful and you have Ocean, Desert, Mountains, heck even a Rain Forest. The people in the PNW have hands down continued to be some of the nicest I've met.

Yeah the roads are NOT fantastic in King County (the County Seattle is in) but if you go soth to about Pierce county they take a little more care.

I work at Microsoft and live in an apartment that is just shy of a thousand square feet with 18 foot cathedral ceilings, updated appliances in the large kitchen that has a pantry, double sinks in the large bathrooms, my own washer and dryer and an oversized deck.... for under a grand, oh and it's surrounded by a river on one side and a golf course on the other.

You just have to look I guess.

move to wichita kansas... 2 bedroom apartment will cost you about 750-800 most utilities included, plus the summers arent to hot and the winters arent to cold, lots to do, traffic is easy going, a few scions here and there only a few that have had any mods... pretty cool place i would say plus lawrence and manhatten (ku and kstate) and kansas city are all about 3 hours away aka party towns

I have lived in Kansas and Missouri and both are easy goin states. The suburbs of KC are pretty relaxed and support a lot of car enthusiasts. In KS/MO the police are pretty lenient for the most part.

Interesting topic, and lots of interesting places to live.

I just spent a few weeks on Oahu and Maui and its the only place that I was really sad to leave.

Everything is perfect there, and I've considered staying indefinitely. Only bad part is not having any friends there.

I'm curious to see where you end up!

the mid south is crazy around this area with weather, but living expects are low. Their are alot of stuff to do. The only thing is negative is the crime and other small things.

NE FTL!!
Cali would be nice, Kinda rough on cars tho. if it was me I'd move to Utah/Arizona/Nevada. That whole strip right there. I loved Utah when I went there. I'm actually gettin the f off the island soon. Movin down to FL in 4 months. Its gonna be great not having a front license plate.

Out of those, Florida and Arizona are the best, imo. It still gets cold in Ohio...
