Anyway, aside from hawaii, anyone have any recommendations on nice places to live.
i dont care about how expensive it is or whatever as i'm sure I can find a job anywhere. Just some options in the US would be cool.

And anyone know how much it would cost to ship my car to somewhere like hawaii?
Hawaii is nice but there is more rain there than you think. 3 of my buddies in my unit are all from different locations around the country. I'll give you what I've heard from the 3.

Florida guy: Florida is called (the sunshine state) or whatever but it actually gets tons of ocean thunderstorms and depending on what area you are in will depend on if you are surrounded by old people who are retired or cubans lol

Hawaii guy: Hawaii is a beautiful place and once you get close with the locals and become one yourself and see what there is to see outside of the tourist spots then you can really enjoy it there. He would recommend living on one of the smaller islands. He moved there from Kansas. He also said they got plenty of storms.

Seattle, Washington guy: Everyone thinks they get tons of rain up there and in the winter it is wet however it's mostly a mist or sprinkle that happens during the winter months. However in the summer it's not well known but he said during a time he lived there they had 90 consecutive days of sunshine and during spring and summer it's normally like that. Seattle has plenty to do and is pretty chill. He did say however that there are a lot of speed traps in his town.

Hope you find the place you're looking for.

all good info bro, thanks so much.

hawaiii is looking good

Seattle!!!! Deal with some rain but in exchange you get phenominal summers, great job potential (Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, etc.), a couple hours to the ocean, 30 minutes to skiing, lakes, hiking, etc. I will NEVER move away from this place! And it's not as expensive as people are saying. It isn't cheap, but it's nowhere near as bad as the bay area.

well i lived in PA and kinda know what you're talking about. There was nothing for me there and I hated the winters. I packed up all my things in a U-Haul and moved out here to Phoenix, AZ. It's close enough to Cali if you want to visit without having to obey their enforcement as far as modding, etc. And it's like 4.5 hours from Vegas if you want to go away for the weekend... And as far as mods go here, you can do basically whatever... Car emissions are every 5 yrs for newer cars (like us), so it rocks. I'd never move back to the North East again.

When I was living in the city I was paying about $800 for a one bedroom, though that was a few years ago. Now I'm north of the city and paid $265k for my townhome in a decent neighborhood.

I am from Houston and have lived here all my life. We have summer about 10 months out of the year....lol but the crime is not bad depending on where you live. Cost of living is not bad at all and there are great job opportunities. There are a lot of Scions in the area and there are tons of things to do.

I wouldn't worry about the yankee accent...lol I work with a lot of northerners and they don't get harassed too much. j/k

I currently live in CA. I grew up in Topeka, KS. Honestly I can't wait to get the hell out of CA. I have 18 years to go so I can collect 90% retirement with full medical for me and my family. I think I will go back to Topeka. I love electronics and will work at Best Buy etc just to keep from boredom. I have considered Flagstaff, AZ as I feel it is so beautiful there. If I had a larger retirement I would retire in Vail, CO. Oh well, working for the state doesn't pay that well so Topeka or Flagstaff will be it.

well, i did have a job lined up, phone interviews ftw! and i looked online for apartment complexes, so i had a place before i got there (i would no suggest doing this, lol. i wound up signing a 6 mo. lease in Maryvale (I think it was rated in the top 10 crime areas of the US lol. There were a lot of drive by shootings IN the actual complex! and my car got messed with a lot.), but anyways, i'm out of there now, living in Avondale which is really nice! Renting a 3 br/2 bath/2 car garage for $814.88 a month. Nice neighborhood too. I really recommend Phoenix.

shoot out your resume to places now. the idea is to have a job before you move down - it'd be a lot better and easier and you wouldn't have to be as worried about crashing with relatives. they'll give you good advice on where to live, where not to live.

when my bf moved down here, he didn't have a job and got one within a month. what's your area?

Just go to florida. You got plenty of beaches, babes and the cost of living is pretty cheap. Plus it is a less expensive trip there than Hawaii and you can drive. Tampa is nice because its not as big as orlando or miami and you have less problems there but your only a few hours away from miami and orlando. But tampa has some badarse night life too as well as st. petersburg. Just check out Ybor city (the Y sounds like and E) and clearwater has awesome beaches which is a 30-45 min drive. Plus when its spring break time you get all the hotties from around the country even world going there. Plus you got college girls from University of South Florida and University of Tampa around. Check it out you wont regret it.

Oh and by the way FL dont have emissions, tint can be 5% in the back and 20% up front. Just a few nice things to know so you can tune away to your hearts desire.

jrussell your crazy seattle sucks ****. I hate it hear. Yea it aint as expensive as the bay area but it is a close second. People cant drive worth crap it just snowed in april like 3 times. It should be warm now its not. The rain is ridiculous. Why would you want to go to the beach when the water never gets above like 65 dregrees. Yea 800 a month for an apartment in the city. It aint an apartment its a closet. its 450 sq ft average in the city for that lil rent. A townhome should not be that much. You can buy a 4bdrm house in FL for that and in a good area. Oh and they sell condos for more than that and they are just apartments. A condo should be almost the size of a townhouse or bigger not a 800-900sq ft place. Sorry but I hate it hear i want to go back east but i have to transfer to cali first. Im not sure where i hate more seattle or cali. East Coast specifically FL FTMFW!!

Im rocking in Niantic, Connecticut. Which is one of the quietest towns in CT. Places like hartford, new haven and bridgeport you have to fear for your life. You never know when someone might pull a shiv out and shank ya. Yo buddha your an RN, nice. Im a CNA (Glorified ___ Whipper) going to school to become an RN.

i live in new york and unless u like traffic, crazy gas prices ( 3.79 is like average by me) and high living cost, then dont come here. I love long island but its getting way to populated and my parents are always complaining about taxes.
I heard Maryland and North Carolina have some really nice areas. Outter Banks for north carolina, but i think u gotta be a millionarie to live there haha.
