Saleen is certainly not the first manufacturer to place a glass roof in a car, and neither is Toyota. Porsche has made a Targa (glass top) trim for years.

Have you driven one? I just traded my tC for a GT, and it's nothing like what you would expect.

I really wish people wouldn't say ignorant things like "Mustang sucks" or "tC > Mustang".

If I had the money, I'd get a Mustang GT over a tC in a heartbeat. Even if you offered me a turbocharged tC, I would still take the Stang GT.

The V6 Stang is no slow poke as well. It does the 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. The automatic is only about 0.02 seconds slower.

Mustangs are great cars. I hate it when idiotic riceboys talk down on it when their cars are far far slower.

It either boils down to a "JDM v. USDM" preference, or a hatred for Ford, in most of those "Mustang sucks" comments.

Also, while the 'Stang is no slowpoke, it handles turns about as well as my house does.

Stangs handle fine on the streets. It's very rare do I see people taking the offramp at 90mph. Ricers often bring up the "handling card" when their inferior cars are completly outgunned. I'm a tC owner but stock vs stock Mustang will urinate all over tCs anyday of the week. Even if they're modified, rwd is far superior than fwd nose heavy cars. Of course underpowered cars will win on the parking lot races. That's why that's the only defense of the weaklings.

Please go easy on the tarmac:

Well played, sir. You caught me. I'm a ricer. Nevermind that I've driven the Mustang myself, and my comment was based on my impressions of the car. Nevermind that our cars do exactly the same on the skidpad, but it felt bulkier to me because it's 450lb heavier than my car. Nevermind that I never even said anything remotely to the tune of "the tC can beat the Mustang".

I'm just a stupid ricer, what do I know. I'll go put a big fat bench wing on the back of my tC, and use your sweeping generalizations for downforce.

EDIT: OP take that link out of the post, please. It's screwing up the page.

Some ricers may use the handling card but most of them throw up that handling stuff while drag racing dont they. You dont need much handling there, your going in a straight line. I personally think drag racing is pointless and boring. Twisty tracks are much more fun. Much more skill is required to go fast and make a turn than it is required to go fast straight.

A saleen mustang will out corner a TC (or most other imports for that matter) no problem. The saleen N2 racecraft system they use is amazing. The original point of the saleen was a road racing suspension the fist 3 years they didnt even do any engine mods. I love my TC but I'm a mustang guy at heart lol

I used to own a 94 v-6 5 spd mustang and that thing was waaaay more fun to toss around. But only because it was rwd. it was probably just about as fast as the tc, maybe a bit slower--but remember this was a 94.

I haven't driven the new mustangs, although I would love to. The only thing i remembered hating about that mustang was that i had to put a 50lb slab of steel and 6 sandbags in the trunk it get it to go anywhere in the winter, even with snow tires.
