Besides, I don't think there's anything in Toyota's camp that does:
RWD
Zero to 60 mph: 6.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 15.3 sec @ 93 mph
for under $20,000
Who said money was an issue for me? Maybe because I like the car.

^^ for dispatchers sake, i dont think you should be making it sound like what his financial situation is, for all you now he could have easily baught a GT mustang but chose the xA for personal reasons. and anyways mustangs are still garbage. its a ford, the only thing ford does right might be thier trucks. all their cars are garbage.

Oh thats right you know me and my finacial status.....spare me. So you're implying anyone who owns an xA is tight on money.

Ricer jerk off to something that doesn't exist. I'm willing to bet that if, and I mean IF Toyota ever brings a cheap RWD car again, it will not be cheap. It'll probably cost the same and maybe even more than the V6 Mustang with less hp and definately less torque.
I won't count Toyota out, I'll give them a chance. However, it's been a disappointment for the past 20 years. Sure the Supra was great, however, not everybody could afford a $50,000 car. That was in the 90's, when you take inflation into account, it'll probably be in the $70,000 range.
Shame on the largest automaker on the planet.
Last time I checked FORD stood for First On Race Day
cwayne, I dont have a problem actually you mention how you wouldnt buy one if money wasnt a problem ok well i wanted one...money isnt an issue with me, but i work hard for it. And again I bought the car because I like it.

Please try to think before you speak.

Just tell it like it is. Ford, Scion, Benz, whatever... drive what makes you feel good and who gives two ****s about someone else's preference.

I bought my tC with an $19k+ (including accessories) price tag...
I like my tC: yeah it's has several rattles but that's when you crank up the music to avoid listening to it
It's very good on gas and fun to drive. You'll get alot of looks. Since I have 50k+ miles on mine and I really haven't kept up with maintenance due to financial issues & don't know what different dealer to take it to; but it seems he runs more better now than what he did driving off the lot. I'm not kidding!!!
More I think about it...some days I wish I threw in extra $5k and got a FJ Cruiser but that's whole different story. More of the lines of "For the dog"...

The glassback roof came from Classic Design Concepts some time in 2004. Saleen probably put it as an option in their version of the car: http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com..._news_036.html
Regarding mustangs on turns, seriously, have you ever looked up "mustang road racing".
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's flaws aren't related to it's ability to serve as a racing platform. Noisy, gas-guzzler, older technology (the v6 just went to an ohc design in 05), heavy, tiny back seats, etc... those comments make sense. Regarding racing, however, those guys can go to Griggs, Maximum Motorsports, Steeda, Saleen, Rouch, and several other manufacturers to get corner-carving, race-quality parts that will withstand the abuse that laps on a track put on a car; and those parts are made specifically for Mustangs. Regarding the general Ford Sucks comments, if it wasn't for Henry Ford, the modern car would be where it is today. Ford also owns quite a few other brands such as Miata that do quite well in the areas that a regular "Ford" does not. As automotive enthusiasts, each of you should at least appreciate that.
That being said, we're committed to making sure that there are good parts available for Scion racers. Rather than just talking smack, it would be nice to see more you posting up lap times beating those mustangs in your Scions.
