It stays still real well. There is carpet on the bottom and it is very grippy. If anything it makes the rear mat shift a little, so I may secure a little better, but not realy necessary.

The sub box will become quite the decapitation device if you hit something hard. Bolt it down.

its kinda hard to tell from the pix of the guy selling that box, but I wonder if the dual 10" custom box will clear the rear hatch cover in the back. im looking at your dual 12" setup and if i were to go with that it doesnt look like it would clear the cover :/

I never checked my hatch cover (Ive got to find it), but it might fit with this 12" box, so Im almost positive it would clear the 10" box. Ill check and let you know.

Alright, I just went out and tried the cover - doesnt quite fit... Its about 1 1/2" too tall and touches the edge of the sub (not the actual box since the sub is angled in and up). Im pretty sure the 10" should fit though. If I was to take out the spare and drop the floor a couple inches Id be ok too... Im not to concerned with it right now, but I may modify (cut up) my factory cover to make it fit better with the enclosure in there.

hey hows that eclipse unit? i was thinking about either gettin that or the kenwood excelon 915...i like alot of the menus on the eclipse and all. some questions -

does it play dvd-mp3 discs?
is the picture very clear? (The alpine one has like 1.15 million pixels, the kenwood has like 330k, dont know about the eclipse)
does it have a spectral graph? (like the moving bars that go with the music/sounds)
any more pictures of the unit?
hows the sound? (the kenwood and the alpine aparently have more of a frequency band then the eclipse plus more power)
