Those tires are NOT meant to be driven on in the snow. If you keep driving on them you WILL wreck your car, it's just a matter of time. Dry season performance tires are NOT the same as all seasons and were never meant for snow use. Check the manufacturers rating on them for snow. Most manufacturers give a 0 to 5 or 0 to 10 rating on how tires perform on snow/ice/dry/wet, etc. All of the "performance" tires I've ever seen are rated 0 by their manufacturers.

Throw the stock 17's back on there with the all-season Potenzas, or get some steelies with winter tires. Those are you options.

I can't wait to see how many kids smash up cars this winter while trying to drive on 18's or 19's with some dry season performance tire after selling their stock rims and tires....

I am NOT looking forward to snow this year. I hate snow.

PS I had Kumho Ecsta's on my eclipse and they were rated 4 for snow. I got down the driveway not plowed in 4inches :D

I went to 3 places this morning and got 3 similar quotes. 650-690 on 4 Yokohama Iceguards IG10 or IG721. Apparently the factory that made Blizzaks burnt down and none were made for this year. All the ones out there are from last year and no one has 215/45/17 around here.

Here is what I'm doing. I'm putting the stock with the stock wheels back on. It is snowing again this thursday here so I'll see how they work.

I really dont wanna dish out 700 bucks again on tires =/

PS: I got a silver R1 ^_^

Thanks for the info-Now I know what to tell customers if they want Blizzaks.

BTW-I had a 99 Red R-1, That was awesome, I now have a 04' CBR 600RR for the track and I'm waiting for the Black 05' R-1 to come in. They are aweesome Track bikes.

Michigan here, too. My dealer emailed me today and told me they were awarded a BSP AT tC and asked if I wanted it...I ordered mine 2 weeks ago...minus the side airbags, which this one will have....I should have it in 3 weeks! I'm really looking forward to the winter, too. May have to drive the Jeep!

Guys, (people)... if I can make it happen in Duluth, MINNESOTA... a city virtually built on the side of a giant hill (I'd like to meet the jokers who thought THAT was a good idea)... you can do it.

We have some good steep angles... kinda like that little mountain town outside of Denver... Georgetown is it? Argh. I got stuck in there once in a lesser vehicle. I seriously thought the townspeople set up a trap and were going to eat me!
