Spoilers
What is the concensus regarding spoilers...
IMO the lip spoiler is expensive for such
a small tiny thing. I wanted to go a bit bigger,
in between the celica spoiler and the lip, not
too big, but too small. I hear alot of people
saying this will "rice" the car out, but
realistically speaking there are many cars
out there who have less performance than the
tC but look pretty nice with a tasteful spoiler.
any comments or suggestions? :?:

Not to get on you or anything but my own personal definition of "rice" is trying to make a race car without making the car fast. Putting a wing on a FWD car that will never go fast enough to take advantage of that downforce is rice to me. Nothing worse than a Cavalier with a big adjustable wing on it.
I feel the same way as you Bel. I think the lip spoiler looks nice but way too subtle for $400. I'm planning on waiting to see what comes out in the next few months and hoping there will be a nice low profile spoiler that is a little more noticeable than the lip spoiler. -Jayme

It's like trying to find a consensus on what smells funny
glue too! i hate how glue smells, but other people like to sniff it
i live in maine and its funny to see what people do to their vehicles since many people dont have a lot of money. So all i see up here is civics, and old ones, older cavaliers, and neons, lots of neons, too with ground effects and huge gt spoilers and stuff, i mean hey if thats your thing cool i have no problem with it but it just gets annoying to see every civic with some euro lights and catback and a HUGE spoiler, along with the neons and cavs, oh well. We really need a better compact car market up here. I think all companies should just cut their prices in half
anyway thats my 2 cents bout rice in maine

Didn't you just get on me about talking about the need of things like a shift light?
I say go for it man. Everyone says "Don't make it rice". Well do whatever you think will look the best TO YOU!!!
They have so many places that have things that let you see what wheels will look like on your car, they need to make one for spoilers. I would have to see something like this in person, but from the pic it looks like it might be good for a tC.
If you go to www.toyotaparts4u.com they have the spoilers painted for $238.80 and the installation kit for $27.60 which isn't that bad if your inclined to install it yourself. I saw a tC with the rear spoiler in flint mica and it didn't look too bad.
in the newst "sport compact car" there is a pic of the tC with an aftermarket spoiler. Not the small one that is oem. Anyone have the mag and wanna take a pic for everyone??
It doesnt look that bad.. but i dunno..
