Default Sport Compact Car-Nov article and ad (56k beware)

There's another review on the november 2004 issue of sport compact car, as well as two ads for the tC. One is a weird scion ad for the car, the other ad is from H&R springs:

The pic is bad, i apologize, i didn't have my scanner, so i photographed it.

Also, there is an article about the tC.

Sport Compact thought it was a great deal, but needed better stock handling and suspension.

0 to 30: 3 secs
0 to 60: 7.8 secs
15.7 sec quarter mile
0.82g on the skidpad @ 66.1mph (bad!)
Braking: 60 to 0 in 126ft.
70 to 0 in 174ft.

Lots of pics- even a tC doing a crazy burn out!

I looked at H&R website, i don't see a link to the ad.

But Sport Compact Car has a link to the review:

Even though the lip looks very photoshopped, I really wonder how it would like in person. I've always been a fan of lips and those things you hold them up with.

I have this strange thing I cant explain. For some reason, if I was to get a tC, I think I would slap on a good size spoiler onto it. IDK, its just something I think would look good. The spoiler in the picture is about the right size, just not the style I would want.

Thoes big metal spoilers are ugly and pointless, why add so much drag as well as heavily decrease the resale value of your car?

well.. wouldn't that wing help to distribute the weight more evenly since the tC is front heavy at 60/40? please correct me if my assumption is incorrect.

word. that was my original intentions, but i can't find a place that sells it in the tC bolt pattern for a good price. the cheapest place i that i found was 445 per wheel and no tires. right now i guess ill just get buddyclub wheels.

I would tend to agree with this. driving on curvy roads tends to make the tires squeal. but for stock tires, hey, they're pretty damn good.

Is the rest of the mag interesting or not? I hate buying magazines because of one article that I wanted, and then putting it in the back of my closet somewhere for all eternity because the rest of it sucks. So not worth it.

at 2900lbs, that makes 1160 front, 1740 rear. Spoiler probably weighs around 20lbs..? I don't think making the car 3480lbs is the best way to distribute weight..

I think you got the numbers backwards. Also I read its a 61Front / 39Rear. So the front is weigh mroe heavy then the ___ of the car. A 20Lb spoiler would be a joke, I would be looking at something in the 5Lbs department, kind of like ppl adding big boxes for sound systems & what not, its just dead weight. If you like it, thats what matters.

Oh. Okay. So I'm guessing the uneven weight distribution would be a pretty hard thing to fix eh?
