my car has 5400 milles on it and when i press the clutch in i squeeks faster when i first engage it than it slows down till it stops is this a bad thing or not?

 

So it keeps squeaking when you're driving? There's a squeaking problem with the tC trannies (mine included) some people are saying that it's the clutch fork while some people are saying that it's the clutch pedal itself that's causing the squeaking.. either way, noone's found a permanent solution to the notorious squeaky clutch problem. =/

 

i hvent heard it while im driving just when engaging the clutch. its kinda loud...

 

ah, so you have the same problem that I have. The squeaking went away recently and hopefully for good -knocks on wood-

 

how long did it take and did you take it to the dealer?

 

i had this same problem with my old kia i had before my tc. it squeaked every single time i pressed down on it, but i didnt ever really pay attention to it. if the tc starts doing it, i dont even think ill notice. my radio is usually too loud to hear it anyway.

 

ya i noticed that my clutch squeaks like a beeyotch when i was in the drive through at Mcdonalds. It only squeaks when I push it in. And the squeak is not inside of the car. I wonder if I can take it to the dealership to have them look at it?

 

you can take it in, and they will lube it, and it will return......you will then be as frustrated as all the rest of us!

 

yup, I noticed that my clutch squeeked the second day I owned my tC. I know have 37,000 miles on my car and have no real problems with the clutch.
