Default Steering Wheel Audio Controls

Does anybody know if there is a way to hook controls up to the steering wheel to control the head unit? Thanks for your help.

To the stock head unit? there is no way, and I don't think there ever will be one.

Aftermarket pioneer stereos has a nice little steering wheel remote as an option.

Yeah...good question...my Mzda6 has this and it's a sweet bonus. Especially when new people gett in your car and you're messing with the volume/cd/radio w/o touching the radio. ;)

Yeah, there is a way to use your steering wheel audio controls with aftermarket systems. Hard to come across because you have to find a shop or someone that knows that they are doing. The terms I know are transformers and adapters. I would just do an internet search for something like "Steering wheel radio control adapter." Good luck.

Yeah, but that's not what he's asking. The tC does not have SW audio controls.

What I find interesting is this comments:

"4 runner's have steering wheel controls that worked when he put my scion radio in.. "

That opens up the possibility that it can be controlled remotely, something I don't think has been posted before.

Default Audio controls

Controls for the stock unit? Not the best way to spend money. I'd buy an aftermarket head unit also Eclipse, Kenwood, Pioneer etc...
