Default steering wheel jerk...

so im sure a lot of u tc owners are experiencing this...when driving on poor roads, over cracks and such, the steering wheel seems to jerk to whichever side the hole or crack is on....for example, if i go over a mini pothole with my fron right wheel, the steering wheel will jerk to the right a little...whats up with that??? something tells me its the suspension, i dont know why....anyone got some explanations? thanks

hey frank..
yeah it's the low profile tires, they tend to follow the ruts in the road.. some tires amplify that pulling.. the pzero's that i have aren't so bad, but sometimes i find myself steering at 1-2o'clock to drive straight.. on some tires that amplify that it's called "tramlining" or "tramming".. basically this is the price we get for having a tire/wheel setup that is on the bias side of handling.. i notice that when my wheel alignment is out, it's a lot more steering involved in steering straight when those ruts show up, then i know it's time to get an alignment.. hope that helps..

also make sure your tire pressures are set to what they should be cold.. i noticed this can have an affect as well on the ruts..
