Default Steering Wheel Question

How easy is it to change steering wheels on the tC? I just got my $50 gift card and am going to change the steering wheel. But is it easy enough for me to do myself, or should i have the dealership do it and rip me off?

ive taken off a couple of steering wheels.. a few things you gotta do.. unplug the battery overnight that way the airbag doesnt explode in your face lol.. then start unscrewing stuff and yank on the steering wheel side to side and it eventually slides off.. im waiting for a HUB to come out for the tc in order to get a sparco steering wheel or a momo

This is sorta related, but would the color steering wheels Scion offers for the XA and the XB fit the tC?

The stock is definitely nice. But the grey colors on the sport really matches the metallic dashboard. But its such a rip off.

Do you think this would be a better idea (much cheaper) or does it look really fake? Maybe I should stick to the official scion sports steering wheel?

If you want to be sure to drain the power, leave the headlights on and disconnect the battery, they will dim out slower than being shut off as it drains the remaning charge in the car's electrical system. What I did to make sure i didnt get a broken face/neck while taking out my steering column on my old car.
