Default Stock white rims on a BCP TC

hey i just wanted to know someone's opinion on powder coating stock TC rims white on a Black Cherry Pearl TC ... the rims would go along w/ the car being lowered with the TRD springs and other stuff (TRD muffler (not white), white scion emblems, maybe small white stripe on side) .. and if anyone could show me a pic of just the white rims usin a photoshop program of what it might look like .. thanks

imho white rims belong on white cars. any other color car go with something other than white. no offense to your photochopping skillz, but it looks like butt. just my 2 cents.

I think white rims went out a few years ago. I think its gonna look tacky. Its a nice color car and I think the stock rims how they are now look great, wouldn't touch a thing.

the car in the picture is black cherry pearl even tho it looks almost black ... i dont wanna stay stock and i dont wanna buy rims .. i can get the powder coating done for short dough ... i also wanna accent the car with white in other ways ... i still like white rims on dark cars ... i dont think they are too far out of style

if you like it...go with it. don't let other peoples opinions sway your style too much. thats what scion is all about, customizing your car how you like it. if you do it, i wanna see some pics.

If you like them white, go for it. I've seen white rims on a dark red car before, and it looks fine. If that's what you want, at least you know most people on this forum won't copy you! (Unless it really does look hot, then they'll edit their posts to look like they didn't tell you to not do it!)

Rims can be tricky, imo. I've seen some really nice onces, and some really bad ones. The thing with rims is you can't let them distract you from the rest of the car. When you see something with 20" chrome spinners, they just steal your attention from the rest of the car. Rims should supliment the looks of the car and not distract from them. I would think that white rims on a dark car falls into the realm of distraction. Also I don't think that the stock rims look right white :\

I'd say go with dark rims, dude. Black powdercoated, even.

The white rims look pretty Pontiac... Sorry.

our stock rims arent gunmetal..
According to the dealership booklet, they're "17" alloy wheels with graphite appearance."

I guess that's not quite gunmetal, but close enough.

Colored rims(i.e white, red, yellow, puke green) are not my personal preference, but I think that white can work on darker cars like the bcp to give it some contrast and look good.

For the record and to retain my pride

gunmetal, titanium, anthracite, graphite, blah blah
these are all denoting the same dark hue grayish theme without being straight black.

I just wish Scion had called them Titanium graphite gunmetal so we could have the bomb diggety color.

btw, and once again PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not put white wheels on that and then take pics and have us look at it lol
you will only lower the value of that car because thats the way it is.

PLEASE do paint them the body color and at least it wont lower the value, hell it may even look better

its funny how personal preference covers alot of things ... everyone can do whatever they want to this car... a RICER car is in the eye of the beholder ... whose opinion matters more .. i dont know ... i like the white rims ... still deciding if im gonna get them painted ...
