instead of buying one i decided to try and cut it, i cut about a foot off and made sure the thin wire wrapped like a candy cane around the fiberglass stayed at the end,
then i used two sets of channel locks to remove the plastic end cap of the antannae, it slid right off with some pulling, dont be afraid to pull it hard
also remember to leave yourself about 1" of the bare fiber glass to slide the end cap back on,
i have the same reception qualities and its looks almost as good as the s2000's
tell me if you have any other q's

I gotta s2000 antenna as well - just hated the cheezy wire twisted around the outside.
Simple to screw out old one and screw in new one - cost me 15 bucks on ebay with shipping and was genuine honda part.
reception is same....

i got an S2000 antenna. looks a lot better but the reception is definitely not the same as the stock one. when i go under small bridges i lose reception also stations that are hard to pick up, i can't get anymore. none of this happened with the stock antenna.
but as for normal stations it works just fine.

I have the S2000 antenna and when I put it on, I instantly noticed a boost in reception. There was one station i couldn't pick up with the stock antenna and with the new one I was able to pick it up. I guess it all depends on the area you're in. but I did notice a difference.

I put a Honda Element antenna on my tC...same or similar to the S-2000...just in case you go to pick up an S-2000 antenna and they say they don't have any in stock. I have not had an issue w/ reception. Although I mostly listen to XM.
Happy motoring :D

I got S2000 rubber antenna on my tC. Bought it online for $20 including shipping.
It looks fantastic, much better look than original antenna... So far, I notice the reception is as good as original... I don't have any problem with it so far.
