Subtle sway at high speeds, any ideas?
I own a 07 BCP TC with only 900 miles, when reaching speeds of 60+ the rear of the car seems (might be the whole car, just seems to come from the rear to me) to have a swaying mation. There is no vibration of any short, but it does seem if I were to have to make a sudden correction it would cause me to lose control of the car. Other than this concern I love the TC so far......
Act like you are sitting on a horse while moving up and down, now move side to side a bit. I know it sounds silly, but that is the best way I know to describe the sensation. Thanks in advance for any information provided.

If you brought your car to the dealership and explained to them the symptoms you've explained to us.. they will fix the problem most likely at no charge to you.
If you have an aftermarket wheel set up, you might need hub centric rings. If you have stock set up, then I have no clue why it would do that. If you feel like you might lose control of your tC at high speeds, I would schedule an appointment with your dealer. Couldn't hurt for them to take a look at it.
I have stock rims/wheels. Dealer seems the way to go, they give me a loaner if they have my car longer than an hour so it can't hurt. I just want to say it is nice to see there are people willing to answer my questions with such quick responses. Let us hope I will have some knowledge to offer in the near future.
I will let you guys know what I find out.......

Also, I would ask if one of the techs at the dealership could ride with you so you can simulate the swaying motion. Nothing worse than being without your car for couple of hours only to find out that they "couldn't find anything wrong with it".
I have the same car ... litterally, and mine is very comfortable. I took a nice jog the other evening with a couple of friends down the highway at about 110 or so and the car held to the road with no problem. I would guess that there is something wrong with the car ... it should not be doing that.
The only suspension on mine is the TRD, but I am as comfortable in the car at high speed as I was in the prelude with the tein suspension, or my DSM.
I will be curious to see what you come up with.

I wouldn't suggest lowering the car and putting sways on to "fix" the problem.
This shouldn't be happening, stock or not. Make sure its not just a strong crosswind (I know it sounds stupid, but also make sure its not happening as you get passed by other vehicles, especially going the other way). And do what ESE said too, check road conditions and think of possibly anything else not related to your car that might be causing this. If nothing, then think about your car and call your dealer. (check tire pressures too).
Make sure you're stable at stock first, then go ahead and upgrade your suspension if you still want to.

As nyr197 said alignment or severly abnormal tire wear can be a cause as well.
i don't have that at all on mine. You should definitely have it checked out, sounds like maybe a tire is bad causing a conicity problem. With that problem the back end would "Sway" since it would act like its steering.

But seriously,
My question is does it happen every time when you get it up to 60 mph? There are a number of factors that could be affecting it. BUT, if your car has 900 miles on it... take it to the dealership. Could be a stick brake pad, crosswinds (like mentioned above), and a number of other things the dealership should look into.
And take a tech for a drive to show him, if it happens, let him drive it too so he can get a feel...
Dont be stupid and modify certain parts to try and fix it. A performance part is not to fix something, it's to improve something that's working perfectly fine already... That's the dumbest advice that could be given...
They don't come with rear sways stock? Doubtful that's it since others don't experience it. I agree with making sure you are on nice, smooth pavement and see what it does.
I'm guessing you may have a tire problem. Is it accompanied by any slight hum or howl with the radio off? I guess I'm thinking of the same sway you get on some of those "test" road surfaces and if you've ever driven over a metal grate bridge. It's kind of scary!

Ok, I took the car to the dealership and wouldn't you know it, I couldn't reproduce the sway affect. I am really baffled at this point. I have really sat and thought about this and the only factor that was changed was the highway/interstate that we drove on.
Some of the facts:
1. The highway I use while driving to work is asphalt and two lanes both ways (this is were I first noticed the sway).
2. The interstate we drove on to test the affect is a concrete like material and is five lanes (did not produce the sway).
3. I notice the highway I drive to work on is slightly slanted away from the median for drainage or what not.
4. The sway only starts if I am at 60+ mph (or there about).
5. I couldn't drive the mechanic out to the highway I use for work because it takes 40 minutes to get there and back to the dealership and just didn't seem waranted.
I asked the mechanic at the dealership if there could be an issue with shocks/struts which the slant of the road or type of road could cause and he stated "not that he could think of". I asked if there was an easy way for him to check my alignment, shocks/struts and he said "if they can't reproduce the problem and the car checks out ok, there would be a charge for labor (think it's something like 80/hr.).
I don't want to sound like I'm being picky, but I have driven everything from a Corvette to a Metro on its last leg and never have I felt this sensation while driving. It feels like the a$$ end of the car has a sort of wiggle to it and just doesn't feel right. I guess this may be a problem that doesn't get fixed until it gets worse.
BTW, thanks for all the input. I may see about installing front and rear sways if only to give me peace of mind.
