Default this sucks

well to make a story some what short. today i was like any other monday, i drive to school then around 12 when i am done i drive home. well today is different. today when i was driving back from school i was in the turn lane to get onto the highway and when the green light hit i started going and right when i was turning some 72 year old lady ran a red light comming off the highway. well everyone knows what happends now, i didnt even see the car till it was to late and BOOOM sure anough she hit me. right before she hit me i saw it in low motion too it was weird. so i get hit in the front passanger side then the force of her car when she hits me swings back and her back end its my back end. at least there was some one that pulled over and came and helped me out. then when everything was said and done i was looking at what the two witnesses said and they had the same story, it said that the 72 old lady was at least going 50 mph comming off the highway ramp. so the cop sighted her and she got in a big fight with the cops saying it wasn't her fault because she didnt run a red. so my car is not totaled thank god but it will take about a month to fix and get everything back to the way my car was. and after the fact that i got hit i had to go the ER to see if everything was ok with me because of my heart problem and all that. i have some pictures of it i will put up later.

Forget retaking your driver's ed at 65, I think everyone should have to retake a test every 10 years AND every car should come with a breathalizer that has to be done before the car will even start, even tho people get by those all the time..... ok maybe this is just the mother in me ranting. lol

Glad you are ok tho and the car is fixable!

You will not be getting a new hood most likely they will just POP the little dent and Bondo. New fender front bumper and head light. Since it was the lady fault they will replace aftermarket parts by only if you have a receipt for ever part. For the rim to be replace I'm not to sure about that. All the parts will be replace with OE parts not factory parts. Insurance will only use factory parts if the car is 1 year old or less.

Glad you're OK. My friends grandma is like 80 something and she had to take a driving test again but my friend said the old lady that came along that graded her was showing her how to drive cuz she couldn't remember where the switch to turn on the headlights were. They seem to feel bad for elderly driver and let them pass...which blows. I work at a grocery store and 2 old people pulled out from a handicap spot right across from each other and hit each other and without knowing that there was a car behind them, kept stepping on the gas and they weren't moving. They were basically pushing each other in reverse until several people rushed in and stopped them.

Damn...

Every time I see a tastefully modded car in such a state a part of me dies.

Dude, you may not want to hear this right now but consider yourself fortunate. Last summer I was involved in a similar collision with almost exactly the same damage. I didn't have collision ins. so I took it down to my hood in Miami and got it fixed for under a grand.

Look at it this way, the power steering lines, radiator pipes, ABS and other vital systems on that side of the car were all spared. Coulda been a LOT worse.

my dad told me that they will take an estiment and see how much everything is worth, and i will get ____ed off at them if they replace the anzo's with stocks i only had them in for less then 2 weeks. and the old lady was being mean towards everyone that started saying the wrong thing to her.

i have all the receipts to all the parts so if they ask for them then i will give every single last one of them just to get my car back to the way it was.
