Sunroof closes 3/4 of the way then reverses TSB?
Wow, this problem just happened to me this weekend...I was out and about on Saturday and I got out to go in the grocery store as well and it wouldn't close for me...get 3/4's and then return to open.
I fixed it temporarily by pushing down the wind deflector and it closed...
It happened one other time for me that day, but quit doing it afterwards...
I'm going to wait and see what happens...

Very strange that this is happening to so many people at the same time. It just must be grease drying up....

In this instance the only thing I can suspect is the grease is drying up , and while that alone isnt enough resistance to trip the pinch protection feature . The added resistance of the roof slidding up the wind deflector stilts is just enough to engage it . This is also another area of the sunroof I have been focusing my attention on
hey the same thing happens with me, it oes 3/4 of the way closed, then returns to open, the thing i realized is that it only happens when its hot out, i think the grease or whatever is in it gets gummed up, so after like 5 trys it finally closes for me
If you desperately need it to close and are having this problem then try this:
Hold down the button so that the sunroof begins to close.
Just before it reaches the point where it would hit and go back again, stop holding down the button.
Then tap the buttong a few times to inch the sunroof foward past the kickback point.
Then you should be able to close it the rest of the way.
