Default sunroof covers fit problam

Finally got to check out a TC today. I noticed three things. The radio cover is kind of cheap, but it does work ok. On the car i looked at the front roof cover fit well when closed. But the problam i noticed was the rear cover did not fit well when closed. There were noticable gaps on both sides when closed with light showing through. For all this talk about the hight quality interior, i felt let down by this. Any of the cars you guys looked at have this problam??

I had the same opinion for both issues.

The radio cover is kind of a push-to-open deal. It's not electronice, but it is opened by a small shock or something. It's very hard to close at first. This combined with thin plastic is what gives the impression that it may break easily.

As for the sunroof covers.. if that's one of only two minor issues, it still endus up being a good car. It's been said before- hopefully someone will come up with an after-market alternative.

Even with these two issues, best damn car for the money. I live in Florida and do not plan on closing those shades when I'm in the car. :D As for the radio cover, I think the shock will loosen over time.. if not you could always customize the dash or switch it out

Yep, as soon as the shock dies in the radio cover, just rip that thing off and upgrade to a DVD screen. Like that Pioneer AV1C (or whatever it is calleD)

Am I the only person who's planning on slapping some limo tint on my sunroof and just not bother using the covers?

I dunno.. the tint is alread pretty dark.. if you do that there will be very little light coming through...

I want a car with a sunroof so I can enjoy the sunny weather.. not hide from it. :D

You need the cover if you do any extended highway driving. It really cuts down on wind noise.

Good point. I have noticed the same on my other vehicles with moonroofs.

That sounds good to me, after all, a car with a radio cover is only on Lincoln or other luxurious cars. As for the sunshades, I still might have to check it out. Also, is the A/C automatic or manual? When I looked on the brochure, it looked like Automatic.
