Welcome!

I haven't seen that specific problem....

It's definately a Dealer resolvable issue, and should be warranty no problem...

if they do remove your headliner to do work, make sure to note that there are no "wrinkles" or creases in it when you drop it off with the service tech and check to see if there are any creases afterwards, as my body shop creased my headliner pulling it down and I've seen it on a couple other cars....

Just giving you a heads up.

i heard about something like this happening to a friends tC. they just greased the pieces that close the wind deflector, and now it works fine.

I had a similar problem in the summer. The little rubber ***** that are attached to the sunroof run along two metal tracks that prop up the wind deflector. I noticed that the rubber ***** were getting stuck on the tracks and the sunroof would open back up to prevent any damage to it. I took some silicone spray and coated the rubber ***** and the top of the track and the problem was gone for good. Sorry if my description isnt as exact as I think it is, right now its 2:30 in the morning and 32 degrees outside so I dont really want ot go out there to look. If you look at your sunroof open you'll know what Im talking about though.

DONT ignore it!!! When i first got the car, it happened to me a few times (the half close, then reopen thing)...but then it didn't happen for a while.

Then all of the sudden one day before a big rain storm, it would not close!! I had to force it shut (actually done that a few times prior). Then after a week or so of bad weather I went to open it, and it didn't open, AND part of the mechanism was protruding down into the headliner so far that it was actually indenting into the roof (looked like crap!)

Had to get it fixed under warranty, then a week later i got the notice for the sunroof deflector recall!! Since then, I get distint rattles from that headliner/sunroof area when my bass hits loud and at hiway speeds (110+) air must be coming thru and it just Totally rattles like crazy, sounds like the whole roof is gonna come off!

All in all, i'm pretty disappointed with my experience with the tc so far
