Default supercharger and intake question

Hi, I havent noticed any questions about this yet, but are you allowed to put in a CAI with a supercharger, or is it a waste of time? I am waiting for the supercharger to come out, which gives me time to save some more money for a down payment, but the people at the dealership have no clue about anything related to the car. The salesman even told me that he was willing to negotiate on the pricing...isnt that against the Scion rules or something? Anyways, also, does anyone know if you need premium fuel to run the supercharger?

Thanks

that wouldnt really matter..its a matter of fitment, if it fits with the supercharge on, then it should work..im guessing you'd need to run premium fuel after you s/c it..rolla guys are running the TRD CAi or AEM short ram with their superchargers but are only running into problems when they aren't using premium (91 or higher octane) fuel. on the other hand, the AEM CAI isnt being used on it because of fitment issues.

The supercharger is a Vortech centrifugal unit, you can use an intake with it if you find one that fits. I'm sure once the charger is released you will see intakes for it.

We're not talking about the AEM, it's not even being released because it doesn't fit. We're talking about using an intake with the TRD supercharger.

Not all TRD superchargers will allow the use of a CAI/RA at the same time. For example the 1ZZ-FE S/C for the Rolla and Trix, TRD stated that the TRD CAI or any CAI is not recommended for use and may void warranty. Just wait what the TRD S/C will offer. It may come with CAI for it or it may not.

Not recommended - true. People (including me) were putting intakes on anyway, gaining 10-12whp/wtq easy. Not sure if it was related or not, but with intake on my 02 sensor failed and couple of weeks later my catalytic converters were no good. I guess TRD knew what they were talking about.
