the thing is...the car is only a year old and i've seen it happen on 08s also...
Scion Customer Experience is also already involved and has been escalated to a specialist thus far, but its been a month and nothing has really happened...my gf is getting super frustrated so i'm trying to find out as much info as i can...

we just washed, clayed, and waxed it and it is happening to the mirrors, door handles, and lip kit too...
so basically, its every plastic piece on the car...

UPDATE: rep said nothing could be done about it and if they replace it, its just gonna happen again...we're gonna call Scion Experience and demand some action be taken cause this sorta thing isnt acceptable
Then they need to replace them everytime they turn yellow. This is where getting aggressive might be necessary because as of now they think your case has been dismissed. I wish you the best of luck.
Well I have had my bumpers for over 3 years now. And mine are not yellowing at all. So it must be a defect with the paint or it could be due to lack of being taken care of properly. Who knows. lol
my moms corolla S does the same thing. it looks like a different color but its the paint on a different material.
if you look at a C5 corvette, you'll see the rear bu,per and front bumper have a different paint texture. its normal. and frustrating at the same time :-\
