Default Taking my tC out of the US?

Is it possible?
Ill be heading off to college next yr probably in korea and i was wondering if theres a way i can ship this to korea when i move.
It will be more than 6 months old so it would be considered "used" to immigration standards? i dunno. someone help me out here.

is it paid off? if not, i think you'll have more issues with the lienholder than anything else.

Nice man, Korea? I went there this past summer visiting family. Great place, hope you like it! It would have been awesome to see a tC there but saddly there werent any, just KIA and Hyundai, or if you went to the big cities lexus and all the luxury brands.

Have fun, and good luck.

P.S. Korean's drive aggressively, so if you plan on driving you should try a taxi a few times and just watch how people drive, maybe its just because im from the friendly state of Texas but its aggressive as heck. I expected some people to do that but its everybody.

Just get a bike, its all the rage in Korea now. And find that Top Gear where they went to Korea, it was one of the best episodes IMO.

if you can afford the shipping and the road tax/registration then you'll have no problem. you might also want to read up on the vehicle and safety requirements for motor vehicle use in South Korea. It may end up costing you more than it's worth to have the car there.

where are you going to school. i was stationed in Jinhae for 15 months. good times

lol, i appreciated the aggressive driving by the taxi drivers--it was hard being late. we used to tell them all the time "faster, faster"--but in Korean.

i don't think it would be worth it. how much would it cost to get it there and then get it back? are you going to college year round? or are you coming home for summer vacation? etc. consider the price of shipping the car, maintaining the car, insuring the car and filling up the car with gas. i don't know how much gas prices are in korea, but they can't be too good.

it would probably be much more economical to just take the bus or a taxi when you need to.

wait, 19 years old and head of your household? are you going there permanently? anyway, you gotta check with korea's import laws, if it meets their crash, safety pollution standards. getting a tc out of the US isn't hard, but getting it into another country and registered, might be harder.

yeah i'm black. did you talk to him, i would have loved to hear that story of how it came about.

i don't know if your citizenship has anything to do with taking it out of the country. the only problem i could see is if Korean Customs will have a problem. which no one on here can probably answer b/c i haven't heard of anyone doing it in my 5 years on this site (not to say it hasn't been done though). it shold have no problem passing their standards b/c Korea isn't hardcore like Japan and Singapore. i would ask realtives to check on their end.
if you plan on bringing the tC back to the states or if it's even a possibility to come back; it may be harder and more expensive to get it back in the US

i think he knows about the traffic and gas prices since he's a Korean citizen. a car still comes in handy and depending on where he goes to college traffic might not be killer.
