If he drives that eclipse into ANYTHING (which I hope he does cuz he's a jealous asswad) it's going to crumple that car like the sunday comics on thursday. My mom had a 2nd gen eclipse until just recently when she traded it in for an Infiniti G35. First words out of her mouth were, "Thank God I'm not driving that piece of ____ anymore."
Harsh, but even my friends wouldn't do something like that. Recently all my friends have been getting new cars and all we can do is comment on how nice each others cars are. That's how friends are, even if they know you're car isn't an enzo, they'll still be there to make you feel good about your expensive purchase. It really sounds like you're still in high school. You'll find that once you're out of high school these "friends" of yours won't be your "friends" anymore. The only ones you'll keep in touch with are the real ones. Just my rambling.
Someone has a small *****...
(Mitsu owner) I would flip if someone did that. But everyone is right obviously he is jealous of your car either that or just really stupid. Nonetheless your in a nice tC and he can look forward to crankwalk
drop some slabs of bologna on his car and let them sit for a while...acid from the bologna will eat that paint up! get creative too, use 3 circles and you can make a mickey mouse on his hood
Which eclipse does he have? the last gen or '99 or newer? And is it the i4, v6 or turbo? I had a '99 eclipse with the i4. It was a nice car, but I like th tC MUCH better.
And the outer shell of the car (fiberglass, poly, sheet metal...) has nothing to do with the safety of the car. It's the underframe that determines a car's safety. You could also mention the fact that your the only one with a driver side Knee airbag!
Oh, Cyber, just out of curiosity, what do you drive?

well, your "friend" isn't much of a friend if he did that to you. personally if my friend did that, i would beat the ____ out of him. why? because its a your car, not his!! if it was my old ___ civic, bleh... wouldnt matter as much, but it's not ok when it's a brand new car. my friends ask me all the time if they can drive my tC.. and i say, hell no. mostly in part because i know how they drive
p.s. i think you should get new friends if all of your friends is like that ___ CLOWN of a friend.
First off its bleach not sugar you put into a gas tank. Sugar actually doesn't do much. Bleach on the other hand is HIGHLY corrosive and with a few days the car will be competely destoried. But you didn't hear that from me.
Second,... look at how many of those POS were made and sold. Now take a look at how few there left on the road. Now look how many camary's have been sold, and how many are on the road still! *uck him. While we was doing that to my car I would have walked over to his and broke out my key. If that didn't convince him to stop, I would have tossed something through his window. Then when we was steping outta the car in disbelief I would have beat his ___.
What that dood did was hella rude and deserving of an extremely rough beat down.

A good buddy of mine had an Eclipse, until he met an F150 head-on. My buddy was stopped trying to get off the road (he saw the truck in his lane) but got trapped by the guardrail. The truck was doing about 45 when he got hit.
This was three months ago. Both of his legs were shattered from the knees down, both of his ankles were broken, his liver was lacerated, and the non-multi-stage airbag drove his sunglasses into his face, cutting his nose and breaking his cheekbone.
Just think if my buddy had a driver knee airbag. Maybe he wouldn't be in the middle of intensive physical therapy wondering if he can walk normal enough someday.
When you are in a tC, you are in a freakin' cage. Check out the construction sometime.

I second all the bad things people said about your so-called "friend". I don't think anybody mentioned this, but there is no fiberglass on the tC. The bumpers are eurethane. All the body panels are steel, including hood and hatch. In fact, the hood, door skins, door frames, center tunnel, horizontal seat supports and much of the engine and chassis supports are made of "high strength sheet steel". Also, the A-, B- and C-pillars, as well as the entire roof side rail, use a "Head Impact Protection Structure" with energy absorbing ribs to lessen injury in case your head hits them in an accident.
