tC billboard
For one of my design classes, we were assigned to make a billboard about anything. I chose to advertise my car, since it would be easy to take pictures of. Anyway, here is what I came up with. Let me know what you think...
Looks good. If you want to keep the current alignment: Cut excess sides off starting about 1 to .5 inch from front and rear bumpers. Place the "Breaking..." statement over the hood but not touching the windshield. Reduce size of "Scion tC" (bigger than the other statement) and make the "S" part start underneath the car under the B-pillar. Change all font to Arial or the font Scion uses. Times New Roman font is not easy on the eyes.
Or
make the tC pic/drawing bigger to fill in the mid-section. You'll still have the sonic boom that starts from the front bumper. Change all font to Arial or the font Scion uses. Times New Roman font is not easy on the eyes.

Yeah i dont like times either. Im not too sure why that was in there... But im using arial black for now. If anyone knows the name of the scion font, let me know. But i will keep looking till I find one that is close. Thanks Keitaro for the response, I took some of ur advise and made two different versions. The second, i will have things coming out of the billboard, as you will see...

Are these any better? Anone else can give suggestions too.

I say get rid of the clouds and make it black and white. And use a skinny sans serif font for "Scion tC". Just lose the Arial Black and times new roman. Not a bad start. Just i think the color makes it look cheesy.
Believe it or not... blue and orange are complimentary colors. The problem with this, is the hue of orange is off. Purple is not really a color that is in this image. Its more, shades of blue. Getting rid of the clouds might be a good idea, but I don’t think making the entire image in black and white would be. Maybe if I changed the entire concept and aesthetics completely, would black and white be good. So I am still looking for a good font, and a better, hue or shade of orange, and I might remove the clouds. But I do appreciate the input.

I would start by working out the typography to something a bit less focusing but present enough to get across your message. the car should be the focus not the text. I'd also toss in a Scion Logo just for safe measure. I do like the theme and slogan however.

But seriously those clouds look funny, since when do cars fly?
you should use the golden ratio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio) to determine if it is pleasing to the eye. That will help you with sizing and placement. There is even software around to help out (http://www.atrise.com/golden-section/)
i still havent looked into the golden secion stuff yet... But i did learn a little about it in my music class. Anway, no one in my class really liked this poster, so i am redoing it. Here is the new design.

i put this new design on some pics of billboards.

so once again, Tell me if you like it, think it sucks, or just have comments or suggestions. thanks

That is much improved from the first one you showed. I would straighten the car out (looks like its going to take a plunge) and put color behined the wheel. Not sure if its just me but why is the front wheel in motion and the back one staying still???
