Then why did you post on my thread?

It's labelled, "Work in Progress" for a reason.

/failedlogic

People can follow what I'm doing. Perhaps get ideas.

I posted it on some other tC forums for feedback, but not here. Don't need the feedback from SL. Mostly because the feedback is usually useless chatter from talking heads who know 10x LESS than I do about cars in general. But, I could be proven wrong.

If it is, it\'s cheaper there :p
Not to mention I have to buy the installation kit...

you have no idea... i wished you luck and hoped to see your car when you were done, but so much for making nice. if you want feedback, i'll give it to you, your "shopping list" is pretty much generic when it comes to boosting and suspension upgrades minus the lsd, but have fun installing that and as for the turbo kit, just take what ever advise you can and go with either TT or dezod. they're recommended for a reason. if you wanna go fast why not get a BBK??? i was expecting that since you were gonna boost, just kinda seems like commen sense, you wanna go fast, and stop fast, right??? the port and polished head is a major A+ and i hope all goes well since you are local to me. post up pics of your progress.

There is no need to go custom "one-offs" with the tC since there is so much in production thats already proven. As I have stated already, there is a Turbonetics dealer in Houston that I can simply get a replacement turbo from if there is a problem. Also, it seems its only the oil cooled turbos that blow seals, the water cooled seem to hold up just was well as the others. At least Turbonetics holds their end of the bargin when it comes to warranty. I haven't read anywhere about them denying anyone (who had blown turbo w/seals).

Again, I wasn't looking for feedback from SL. More of, "Hey, this is what I am doing." thread.

Most of the items I have listed will be professionally installed.

I don't need the BBK kit. Adding slotted/dimpled rotors, SS lines, and better brake pads will do the trick. My tC isn't going to be a HP/TQ monster. So it won't need monster stopping power.

I already had a Toyota that I had to a lot of custom work to do a turbo conversion on. I'm glad I don't have to go that route with the tC. I can go "shopping" for parts instead of "shopping" for fabricators to make custom parts.

I don't know about you, but this ain't my first rodeo.

turbonetics other than hte seals is pretty good..

but for a little cheaper you can get a full turbotoyotas or dezod kit...i'm sorry for repeating it over and over again...i'm just an avid supporter of supporting this community.

plus, those two own turbonetics in terms of looks.

but fine. no feedback then as it is.

Wow nice list =)

Hope all goes as planned. I thought about opening a thread on my build. But, I decided to just post a dyno once i'm done, lol.

I can't imagine spending so much money on labor installs. The parts itself killed my wallet, LMAO.

The only professional help I will be seeking though, is the engine work.

Post pics as you progress.

Peace.

Dumb thread.

Imagine if everyone else on SL posted what they were GOING to do as opposed to what has been done.

Plus i was kinda surprised i didnt see a

K20 swap......$3200

in that long ___ list that I skimmed through.

Post up some good pics to make this thread worthwhile, as of now you are yet another stock tc on SL

I vote, buy tools, and do most of the installs himself =)

Whats more fun, than doing your own installs.

Not to mention the cuts, bruises, cursing, bleeding, slandering, and enjoyment of doing it yourself, roflmao.

Well, ipps, I am doing some installs. But the turbo kit, LSD, and a few others I won't be.

Checho, TCpete, go suck a big one. I don't care what you think.

I realize you didn't ask for feedback (?) but I will say a few things since I can relate. I also made a shopping list when I first got my car. Didn't post it on the forums, but I guess I could've?

I'm personally just going to be happy when I got the money to shop for properly boosting, and i'll make sure i'm the most cookiecutter turbo tC out there. I don't have the green to be trying things that MAY have problems. Trying to sell one of my quads right now to put me at around $5500 for my boost fund. Still kind of skimpy but I can wing it after the bulk is done.

Any way, what kind of mods did you have done to your Tercel w/ custom turbo? Joking. Kind of? Was it a Tercel you modded?

Oh well.

Thick skin as they say.

In July/August, I'll have more brake and suspension parts bought and put on the car.
