I think maybe we were hoping as an employee of Scion you'd be able to call the dealership in Florida and get some information.

I guess I could do that... Might be a weird phone call though.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly how you would make that call.

I'm on the phone with Earl Stewart Scion right now. Im just gonna ask them if they know anything about the incident. I wouldnt hold your breath. I doubt they will know anything or tell me if they do know something....

...OK, here is some real information directly from Anthony (I think that was his name) at Earl Stewart.

1. They dont know the cause of the fire yet.
2. The incident seems to be a totally isolated incident according to Scion Corp.
3. The vehicle in question was dealer traded from another dealership meaning the vehicle was initial safety checked at the originial dealer and not at Earl Stewart. Typically dealers wont PDI a dealer traded car again unless its from out of state.
4. The owner of the vehicle (female) is 100% unharmed and also awaiting information regarding the cause of the fire.
5. The vehicle had no modifications. It was a bone stock tC fresh from the factory.

Anthony has my contact info and is supposed to be informing me once they have a cause. I told him I wanted to know as a concerned Scion Manager so I could be aware of any issues and pass the knowledge along to the Scion community. Hopefully he will contact me and I can let everybody know what the issue was...

Haven't you ever heard that smoking is hazardous to your health?

I guess we'll never know, but I bet the insurance company does.

I'd bet they don't. Insurance companies, in my experience, don't really know anything.

Shhhh.
Actually, I would never do that to a Scion. Maybe a Mustang...
