So now Inifiniti is poor quality and not reliable? The tC also has 101 little pieces that can break off. I can very easily see the sunroof shades breaking and the stereo cover breaking off, neither of these can be found on the G35.
LOL they WISH it was the G35!

Honestly I'm not a big fan of the G35, it is over priced IMO. BUT I'm tired of everyone assuming that the tC is the most reliable, best built, best looking, best value car you can get. If it were all of these things, noone would buy anything else. Just because Toyota is known for reliability, doesn't mean the Scions are going to be as good. They'll be better then average, maybe even a lot better, but don't knock another car, especially one that costs twice as much, for things you can't back up.

Alot of cars look similar these days. I parked next to my friends white G35 and it's hard to tell them apart from the side profile. A couple of people also commented as such, including a bunch of salesmen from a Honda dealer. I've also gotten comparisons to the Tiburon, the Saturn Ion, Bangled BMWs(that's not necessarily a good thing), and one person thought it can pass for a Mercedes model.

However, all of them said it was a best value buy given the sticker price.
See i said saturn......^^^^^___*
I see the Florida humidity is getting to you.
Yeah, the tailights do resemble the Ion. I don't see why that's a bad thing.

Mercury Cougar. I've never heard anyone else compare the looks of the tC to the cougar, but really, it's true. Don't compare individual spots, just the overal look. I swear to dog they're very similar.

I'll probably get flamed for comparing the "sacred" tC to the "lowly" Cougar.....
Nah, you won't get flamed (at least not from me)
People will take a look at the tC and come up with different cars to compare it to.

If you say anything bad about a TC....the will tell you how great it is...all I have seen is problems...a G35 is a much nicer car and the body is awesome....wish i could say the same about the TC...to me its like saying a PT cruiser is the same as a Viper...Get real People

And what if I said the xA is underpowered, ugly, and bland? The worst part about it is it wants to be a Matrix but ends up being more of an Echo, without the cuteness. Are you going to say "well...I see where you're coming from"? Didn't think so

I don't think comparing the looks of the tC to the G35 is out of line at all. They are similar looking, but I wish you tC owners would stop trying to compare it to other cars, its a tC, end of story. I hope you didn't buy the car because you really wanted G35/BMW/IS300/Ion/[Insert other car name here].

Hey, I am gonna off topic a little bit here. I must say SVX is still my fav. My gf used to own it and I drove it to work everyday. Now, I own a tC but I can't help but keep comparing the two. I can't get enough of that smooth pull from the boxer engine. It's a wonder around that time. tC is a great car, but svx always remain in my mind. Enjoy your SVX!

I know. I didn't really want to compare the two and honestly, I don't care what kind of car my tC looks like because I love it - period. I think it is streamlined and classy and the options and the modding possibilities are fun.

It was just that when I was looking at the Yahoo article, I just was surprised at the resemblence of the two cars in those exact pics - that's all. :D

Think that it looks like the following: Volvo S40, Infiniti G35, Saturn Ion, the Tib, RSX, and the Audi A3 ( not sure, I might be wrong here, but one of them). Think that the fact that it looks like all of these to me is what actually makes it appealing.

Thank you, GotVXWannaTc is right, the tC is what it is=the tC,please stop comparing it to other cars, regardless of price shape or looks.

see... what i don't get, cybergypsy, is how you feel utterly compelled to compare the tC to the G35, or to your previously owned Mercedes, and every other $30g+ car out there.

if it looks similar, then it looks similar. what logic do you use to justify comments like:
sorry but its no where near the G35, thats the problem....
when i had my IS300, THAT time i compared it to the G35 (which, although has a nicer engine, really had crappy interior components... all the interior plastics and such felt very cheap). I also compared my IS to the 330Ci, which I thought was almost every way superior... get the pattern here? they are all in the same class.

is the tC in the same class as the G35? no. so why do you keep putting the tC down because it doesn't hold up to a car that costs almost twice as much? granted there MAY be some jaded tC owners here (let's be honest), but i think you're probably the MOST jaded of everyone here. i mean, does it make you sleep easier at night because you proved that the tC isn't as high quality as your $29000 C320? i feel like you totally missed the fact that this car is $16,645 MSRP and i think it holds a better package against the Honda Civic EX and the Mazda 3. do you still not get the pattern here? you can say with me: THEY ARE ALL IN THE SAME CLASS.

hell yea, well said, when comparing the tC to cars that cost more than TWICE as much, its gonna have somethings that ppl take as 'disadvantages.' if you even compare the tC to cars that cost TWICE as much like the G35, that right there is shows very highly of the tC. nuff said.

btw, i think she puts down the tC because it wasnt the 'perfect' car that she expected and now she cant stand to see everyone else so happy with it. I'm sorry, cybergypsy, but thats just how it seems to me, no offense intended. The tC, isnt for everyone, its certainly not perfect, but then such is the case with any & every car including the much beloved G35 coupe. I think you would be much happier and better off if you just let it go, and get a car that you really do enjoy.

Hey if your happy with it, I am happy for you...but there are alot of people who are not happy with the TC's and always comparing it to 35K cars is crazy...compare it to 18K cars like Saturns, mazda, and the civic....not high end cars...

What is up with all this Cybergypsy bashing? I for one welcome her comments. It has made me think twice about getting a tC.

not trying to flame anyone or put anyone down at all with this post. but, what i thought was funny, is that when i first read the topic of this post, the first thing i thought was, "well, this seems like a perfect cybergypsy post." and sure enough. haha.
