BTW feathering the clutch (releasing slowly) causes less wear than releasing suddenly (imagine if you slammed the brakes everytime instead of applying pressure gradually).
. . chef was right in his analysis of the traction control .. .
i think vehicle stability control, is just that , a computer gets input from how the tires are reacting to various conditions and help stabilize the vehicle.
.. . trac control just corrects the driver giving too much trottle, so the computer detects spin and overrides the drivers aggressiveness, thus giving traction. . .
.. practice should help you correct this, go to an empty parking lot on wet roads to help
. . .btw, all these systems are fine, but nothing can be substituted for driver experience . .. USE THE FORCE LUKE. . . .what do you think that was a bunch of crap. . excellent drivers are tuned into road conditions and situations and react accordingly. . ..
.. somethings a computer cannot replace . . . if you are that hell bent on computer systems, go get a vehicle that has them . . . but for me, i am a driving enthusiast, i would rather be in tune with what is happening .. . not relying on a bunch of computer systems to drive for me . . .

um....this car has bad traction...what it needs i would think would be a limited slip, better suspension (it sits on it's rear in hard acceleration a bit much), and better tires. but, i agree with the traction control not being needed.
