Default tC problem notices

I am about to order my white manual tC. I have read these boards up and down looking at reviews and reported problems. I test drove an auto and was very impressed. The dealer told me I would not be able to drive a manual before mine came in because all the ones that come in are already sold. I contacted other dealers and they told me the same thing.

For those MT drivers who have had problems... Have you taken the car to the dealer and had the problem looked at? Did the shop handle things well? Any out of pocket expenses? Has Scion notified you of any recalls?

I had a Nissan XTerra during the first model year and it had a problem of shifting itself into neutral at low speeds. I got a recall and had it fixed no problem. First year production cars usually have problems and I am expecting them... but what matters most if if they are handled properly by the dealer.

I appreciate everything you guys (and girls) post on the boards and welcome your comments.

MT, 6k miles, no problems. little rough feeling when its cold out, but after the first 2-3 min. it shifts buttery smooth. noticeably better than than the xB I tested, and probably on par with the clutch/tranny in my 88 prelude. not sure if this is what you were looking for, but just wanted to say haven't had any problems...

So far there haven't been any recalls on any Scion models. There are a few TSBs for various issues (mostly rattles and squeaks) but that isn't something they notify customers about usually. It's for IF you take it into a dealer with that complaint.

Everyone who has problems with anything complain...
But not everyone who doesn't have problems, or has a good experience will speak out.

Can you imagine how many posts there will be if everyone who has a good tranny posts "I got a good tranny, everything's ok!".

My g/f has a great transmission in her tC, shifts great.

Only 450 miles...but my tranny is becoming smoother and nicer everytime I drive it.

VERY nice feeling.

Just keeps getting better and better.

3rd gear is rough, dealer has ordered parts to fix it under a service bulletin, I just haven't made it in yet.
