Hey guys, i've been lookin into gettin some projectors for my month-old tC, however, all i see are retrofitted ones...

I was wondering, the xB has a set of released projectors that people can buy from some companay.. are there any companies taht are releasing or will release another set of projector headlights for the tC? if so.. what company? how long till the release? and for how much?

i don't think any have been announced so far. as of now the only way is to retrofit.

 

Nope - I think retros are your only option right now. I'm in your boat - just waiting for a good set of projectors to come out. On the upside, the stock lights aren't bad. Save your money... someone is going to make them some time, right?

On a related note, are there any reputable companies that make aftermarket projectors in general? It seems like the kind of thing where low quality ones could really suck. Are there any name brands we should be looking for?

that guy did a KILLER tC retro. (that guy = pliepl)

looks absolutely STOCK + angel eyes. rather sexy.

 

I just hope that whoever winds up making these highly sought after headlights actually get some opinions from the Scion Community BEFORE they are made so we don't have another fiasco like the tail lights TYC made. OMG, those tails are Fugly and then a TYC rep has the ***** to get annoyed at the Scion Communitys lack of a warm recepcion for them.

 

The HID Retro ones are great, but they're like $800 if memory serves, and I don't think a lot of people around here are going to be paying that much. I can see that one-off custom jobs just cost that much, but I figure if someone actually started producing these, they'd be only a couple hundred bucks a pair, and it would be up to you to find your HID bulbs and ballasts and do the install.
