Basically been waiting a month for a BC TC with sideairbags with no hopes on the horizon. Dealer said SCion doesn't make too many with sideairbags. What's been the average wait for one of these?

 

my wait was zero and i bought my blak sand pearl september of last year with side airbags as the only option, luky me thats the only one they actually had at the dealer

 

Mine came with the side airbags. I had to wait a few weeks. They're making about 25% of the tC's with side-curtain airbags.

 

Yeah they're pretty hard to come across, especially if you want it in 5spd. I waited 3 months for an AP, but I had a lazy dealer so they didn't try to negotiate a trade with another dealer. But I waited 1 month for my FM at a different dealer, however that just so happened to arrive it wasn't what I ordered.

 

I waited for almost 2 Months. What they should of told you was that it should take "4-8 weeks". You've told them too look at surrounding dealers haven't you? Or have you looked elsewhere either?

 

i walked in to the dealer, told them I wanted a 5-speed FM tC bone stock. They had exactly what I was looking for, only it had the airbags (which I didn't want). I drove it home anyway. It's not a bad thing to have these extra airbags, but it does seem kind of excessive. I might as well wear a suit made of bubble-paper!

 

Picked it up same day with all the options I wanted incliding side air bags. Wrong color was ordered for someone else.

 

I was told 10-12 weeks for a 5 speed. I really wanted them, but my old car was totaled so wiating 3 months wasn't an option.

They should just make the standard. I know I'm going to feel like a dumbass for not waiting when I get t-boned.....

 

walked it in last july they had one BCP tc not sold it had airbags bought and will sell it to you for 20K

 

I was waiting for 4 months for my tC and i ordered a 06 fm stock 5 spd. but if i wanted to wait for the one i ordered it would be a month longer but they had a fm 06 stock w. airbags that came in a month earlier than i would have had to wait for mine, which kinda goes against everyone else is saying (so it was probably just a strange coincidence type deal)

 

I ended up waiting 3 weeks for my BCP auto w/ side air bags. My dealer just happened to find one at a different dealer with the exact color and options I wanted. Kinda lucked out :D

 

The wait time completely depends on what your region has been allocated. Many dealerships are simply holding on to what they have until they need something so trades are happening less and less frequently. I've had a customer waiting over 6 weeks for a FM tC WITHOUT airbags! I just couldn't get one and NOBODY would trade.

Timing is everything. Sometimes the car you want is sitting on the lot, other times it takes two months.

exactly here. I feel u bro and if I could get rid of them or at least the seats I would in a second I just don't want to see the bill when they blow

 

i only had about a 1 week wait. I live in FL where Jacksonville is the port where all scions come in for the southeast. But they told me at the dealership that there weren't many. If one hadn't come on the boat....they would have had to drive one down from ATL or Miami.
