I think the 4 wheels at the corner of the car, the 2 door coupe, and maybe the windshield are sooooo played out...

You know this was all in good humor... But who cares :D You want original you get yourself a real life hotwheel :D :D :D

The weight is a concern with some of the customers interested in the tC. Even with the available TRD Super Charger. I'm pretty sure it will perform well..

Can someone translate 1275 kg (kerb weight) to US lbs?

Heh he..., speaking of the Avensis.

Avensis Liftback 2.0 Direct Injection
Weight 1335 Kilograms = 2943.17 Pounds

Hmmm, the Avensis Liftback is about the same weight as the tC. Toyota must have shaved some weight in order to add the glass roof and .4 more liters of engine. Interesting.

Yeah - I ballparked that weight of the Avensis on a UK website. Compromise between auto & stick I think.

Is it possible they trimmed the ends of the ? platform to make the tC? I don't know what it means to use the same platform.

Like for instance, are the wheels closer to the corners on the tC than on the Avensis?

I suppose if they're the same length, and the same wheelbase, they're identical on the "platform" but different in body on top...

...many assumptions.

Oh, and another assumption - the tC is not an Avensis -- like the Solara is not a Camry.

anyone who has worked with glass before knows how heavy it is. For those of you who are saying that it won't make a significant difference in weight, here's a fact:

glass weighs more than steel per square inch, and they wouldn't cover the top of any economy car with steel now would they!
