The tC worth modding?
ahaha this isnt a "bagging on tc's" topic.. i was just curious. I'll only have this car for about another year and a half and i was wondering if it'd be worth modding. Did any of you have cars that you only kept for a while and still modded?
i wouldnt waste ur money.
maby something small here or there maby some lights maby some rims tint i wouldnt do much more. not getting into the turbos body kits lowerings it lowers the value of the car a lot. if ur lookin to sell it within a year keep it nicly waxed and clean so when u do sell it u can get ur moneys worth.

what?!?! no he wont!
if you get ot heavy into modding, even if you put it back to stock, there will still be something missing or out of place or not right with it. just give yourself a limit on how much you care to loose or waste. thats all your doing is wasting your money!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warranty_Act
In case you've eaten too much sugar today and can't focus, the summary is "you warranty is not automatically nullified by modifications. The dealer must prove that the modification caused the problem before they can refuse to do warranty work".
sorry for not correcting my grammer, i was not paying attention but he will still be under warranty. just head out advice and keep it stock for the next year! there is no point in wasting money, esp. with this econ!
i started to mod my car, and it became a chain reaction. I eventually gutted it and sold all the stock pieces i replaced for more parts, so i'm stuck with my car for awhile, which i don't mind at all :D
How can you drive it stock? My personality won't let me do that.
I started with a stock tc, the same as EVERYONE elses that bought theirs. I hated being the same, so my quest was to set it apart.
It might have similar mods to other people on the site, but my car is pretty unique to my part of town and I haven't seen another tc that looks as different from stock than mine around my local area. At car shows sure, but just cruising... never

But to the OP, i say at least drop it. Even though it's a small mostly visual mod, it'll not only make the car like 100x better, it'll give you more feedback from the street, making driving it a little more fun. unless of course you want a lexus/bimmer feel. then you just got the wrong car.
I say do it. I'm looking to trade my car in in about 2-3 months. Even tho I'm planning on it i still buy parts for it every now and then, Bought a new CF lip like 2 weeks ago. Stupid? Maybe, but its a hobby.
