Default tC's big stock player (Q&A)

Do you actually need to buy some sort of kit to install the more "slim" cd dash players?

yeah.....unless you want to modify a plate to go around the cd player.....you don't have to buy a kit to mount it....but the kit is just to fill the gaps......i used my stock HU mounts and parts to an older toyota kits....

Thanks. So to other readers.

No need to BUY another kit.. UNLESS you want to fill that gap when you buy the slim type of indash CD players.

Thanks bro.

check out my cardomain link at the bottom. I fashioned an aluminum cover to fill the gap. Once i had set my mind as to what it was that i wanted to do, this creation was fairly simple.....the hardest part was walking around the hardware store trying to find something that would look good enough.

You dont need a kit....besides, using the factory brackets makes for a much sturdier intall and less succeptible to theft.
