Default Thinking About tC...

Well im thinking about getting a tC and selling my xB to my bro. Heres the situation though: I want an 07 tC but dont want it until about April or May. I know they released info for the 08 tC and I dont like the headlights on it, basically thats why I dont want it. Also some of the new features will probably hike the price up and I would rather have a bone stock SW Auto tC with just floormats and the Ipod pioneer head unit, thats all.

Heres my quaetion: If I place an order in April or May for an 07 tC the way I want it (since my dealer doesnt even have the exact one I want), would I get an 07 or would it be an 08? I heard the 08's wont be available until June so I may be good. But let me know guys n gals!

well if the headlamps and taillights on the 08 are able to be switched out with the previous years, i would get the 08. I would go to the dealer and ask when you can place an order for the 08 and if they know anything about pricing. Or call Scion to see what they say or if they can say? IMO, i would just wait for the 08!

Ive been telling myself, if i got a good chunk of change, i would trade in my 05 for the 08. I would always like to start over again, but thats just me!

I believe thats why I want a new Scion. To start all over. I just think my love for my xB has slowly gone away and I dont feel the need to have it anymore.

But I was thinking about an 08 and hoping the headlights can be swapped out. Im sure someone on here would gladly trade str8 up. I do like the tails and would keep those. I dont mind the new grille either. Its the same on thats going to be on the 08 xB. The only other concern for me is the price. Cuz they are adding and changing:

-new headlights
-new tails
-new upper and lower grille
-side airbags standard
-Ipod Pioneer head unit standard

I know the airbags alone are $650! I still wanna look into it though...

put one on hold, and if you change your mind you can always tell them you want the 08

They should. My dealership held my spec for almost a Month. It was the only completely stock spec they had left in stock. Given I did have a cool sales man (he's actually on the forums: simplyscion) and I assume the RS3s are in more demand but it's worth a shot. Doesn't hurt to ask.

actually they usually don't have it in stock, they will order it for you and prolly be in around april or may then you can decide w/o a deposit. i wanted a SW tC and i had to wait like 2 monthes for it because for some reason in my area the SW is most popular.

Ask the dealer, maybe they could take a deposit and order the car when it comes out (the rev 3.0) or order one of the last 2007's if it ceases production before you are ready. Cant hurt to ask, all they can say is no.
