What are the benefits to doing this? I was just wondering as you stated that you could feel the difference and that it helped.

It does not allow hot coolant to pass through the core of the throttle body, thus creating a cooler intake charge, freeing up a few ponies. The only problem is that our throttle bodies are like.. 40mm (lol), which is pathetic, so the difference would most likely be too minimal to notice.

I did this about a year ago, only cost me .40cents and took 15mins, i'd say its worth it for the price :)

Only do this if you live in a warm climate, the reason the throttle body's are heated is so that they dont freeze open or closed, you could find yourself in big trouble.
