After you correct the violation (the tint), you have 2 options.
1. Go to the court, have someone at the court sign off your ticket, pay for the inspection and the fine.
2. Go to a CHP station that signs off correctable violations (not sure if all of them do). The inspection should be free. Then go to court and pay the fine.

At either option, the back of the yellow ticket needs to be filled out by whoever inspects it.

That was a few years ago when I got a no front plate ticket.

Let me clarify.
There are 2 things you will be responsible for paying.
1. Inspection fee (no fee if you go to a CHP station instead of court)
Paid to place that inspected your car (the court is the only place that charges)
2. Ticket fine
This must be paid to the court.

and the inspection place signs the yellow citation the chp gave me? i didn't get anything from the court in regards to the tint. the court sent me a letter about the speeding only.

damn this is confusing sorry for the questions...

Yes the inspection place will fill out the yellow citation you received.

Is this your first ticket?

first ticket that needs this kind of action, usually i just send a check to the court and be over with it... the cop said i might get a fix it ticket from the court, this is what caused my confusion...

Oh haha. Yeah that yellow citation is basically your fix-it ticket, even if it includes other violations that you can't fix.

Check the paper work and receipts for the tint.
When I got my windows tinted at a local shop, I had to sign a paper acknowledging that the tint was illegal and that they aren't responsible if anything happens.
If you didn't get anything like that, maybe you might be able to get the dealership to help you out?

was not intentional speeding, was on my way to jury duty, it was 40miles an hour for about 20 blocks then suddenly changed to a school zone which was dropped down to 25 miles an hour, the cop was right at the boarder where it changed and it was a green light stright ahead so i crossed the boarder going 40 and thats where he snagged me... but yea, i need to get a radar..

viper radars...they really only work on the radio signal radars, cops now are moving toward the laser radars that basically cant be detected until they pull the trigger. so youll notice the radar once you already been caught.

Best money I've ever spent, no more issues. picking up cops (laser at 2-3 miles, radar at 4-5 miles) way before I even see them.

So yeah save your money for an escort or beltronics, you'll thank us later.
