Default Tire Pressure

Hey guys, I was wondering why my tire pressure light continues to come on. I purchased my 2007 Scion TC used and since then the tire pressure light has been on. I looked up the ideal tire pressures matched them, reset the light and drove for 30 miles, but still the light is on.

Had the same problem years ago. If you haven't done so, you must reset the button twice. First, press the button until the light goes out. Then release the button and press once more and hold it until the tire icon flashes three times. If you don't do this, the icon will come on after approx 20 to 30 miles.

The first time you reset, you are telling the computer that you fixed the issue. The second reset you are suggesting is actually the re calibration routine. That will tell the car to recalibrate to whatever the current tire condition is. That's fine, so long as you verify all the tire pressures are within specification at all 4 corners. That should make your light stay off until you actually have a tire pressure issue.
