ok i bought an 08 tc with an auto transmission this year and im second thinking it... im due in for the first oil change soon and i was thinking of trading it in for a tc with a stick. so im wondering do u guys think ill take a big hit...? the auto did cost me more...

Thats what I did. I had an auto 05 BSP with 34,XXX miles on it, and traded it in for a manual 07 NBM with 2 miles. Now I wish I'd have still traded my auto, but for something with a little more chutspah than the tC, like a Z or G35. Heck, even a GTI or something lol. Oh, and your payments will go up, there is no such thing as a trade straight across lol. I traded mine and put up $2K and my payments still went up!

 

You will pay a lot, trust me.

Well you'd still be better off trading than considering any sort of transmission swap.

no offense... but get over it.. you got the auto.. stick w/ it.. its too late as it is... you'll take a big hit.. not worth it at all. but yeah.. stick is the best way to go

the moment your new car drives off the dealer lot, it automatically lose about 30-40% of its value, and then slowly depreciate roughly 10-15% every year afterwards. expect to pay ALOT with your trade-in. not worth it....if your only sole purpose is just to get a stick.

 

How much would a tranny swap cost?

 

The 2009's have come out, the official release date for them was July 1st, but to my knowledge i have yet to find a dealer that sells them in my area.

 

thats because all the cars are stuck in port. all the east coast 09s wont be out for at least another month until all the legal fees are processed due to the company shutting down. anyways, why dont you trade it for a slightly used man tc?

 

Hope not because i placed a order for one about a month ago. The dealer is telling me i "will" have it this weak.
