I don't know the exact number off my head but I know it's higher than trading in for a stick.

x2. If you trade it trade for an upgrade (something better than the tC), not an even swap.

Don't bother with tranny swapping. I have experience in your issue, so listen to what I did. Yes it is worth it. No it is not a bad idea, no you will not lose your ****.

Take your car that is still practically brand new and look around in the USED lots for a stick tC. I am not saying they will even swap you, but it will cost probably less for you to trade it in than what you would pay for a swap.

My tC wasn't new when I traded it, but then again neither was the one I got. I traded my 05 w/ 37k on it (auto) for an 06 w/ 37,5k (stick) even swap. I was only $1,500 upside down on my first tC. Then tax title and lisence fees, so I ended up paying like $3,000 for a manual. Cheaper than a swap. Much more fun.

You will be even better off, because your trading in a very new tC, for a used one. Don't bother trying to get a brand new stick though, then we'll be talking much deeper upside down in payments.

you might be better off selling your tC on the side. once or if you do, then you can go buy the tC you wanted. it all depends on what you owe on it and what people want to buy. its summer, and people want small cars so you could be in luck?

for the hell of it, take it to your dealer to see what they could possible give you for the tC. tell them that your thinking of tradding it in for a 5spd and see what they say? it wouldnt hurt to try?

Autos are not much slower then stick. I think it will be cheaper just to get a supercharger for it. Keep it for at least 2 years and then trade it in for something different. You know that subyota is coming out in 2011 or maybe next generation of tc.

^good idea just drive it a couple of years and trade in when you have more principal intothte car........the new generation cannot be far away.......a buddy in the club here supercharged his auto and it is very fast now........my auto has no problems staying withthe other tCs that are sticks when driving and I only have intake and exhaust.....still have not put on the header or mid pipe........and I have heavy 18s.......just drive it till you have more money into it and then trade it.........
