ok.. if i trade in my tc to the dealer, do I have to remove all my aftermarket items n put back to oem???(sri injen,trd exhaust, trd springs, trd sway bar , anzo tail lights,grill craft grill, HID headlights n etc) I'm like too lazy to put back to oem.

The dealer will most likely lower your trade in value because of the mods BUT they will try and sell it for more causer of the mods...sneaky b@stards.

Take them off and put the car back to stock. A modified vehicle gives off the impression that you ran your car hard and you will get less for the vehicle.

If you want to try and get as much money as possible without removing all of your mods then do a little research into used dealerships in Vancouver Canada. I've heard that there are a few places that look to the US to import moded cars that you cant get locally!

Not ideal for you but its worth a shot man, usually the more mods = more money!

 

yea.. if you trade in the car with the mods.. you're gonna lose a ton of money..

 

Yeah true if your trading in, but there is a market out there that is looking for cars that are already moded .... and they WILL pay good $$$ for it!


If thats not an option go "private sale"... The best way to get the most dollars!

 

My dealer actually gave me an extra 3k with my mods on the car. They sold it within a week.

I would probably take the Intake and tails out. You can sell them pretty easily and it shouldn't be that hard.

I bet if you put the stock grill back in they won't even notice it was modded. But it does depend on the dealer, if it is a scion dealer they may see that it is modded.

But my dealer told me to keep all my OEM parts or sell the car to a friend because they would give me less for it if I traded it back in one day.

 

wow that pretty good jus 7-8k chances are theyll give u about that since its such low miles and clean title etc. theyll jus look at the condition of the car and ofcourse u take the aftermarket parts off and ur good

 

keep the trd parts on and take everything else out.

 

back to stock, but i was intrigued by that guy talking about vancouver dealerships.

dunno how much truth there is to that, but it's worth a try.

im keeping all of my stock parts just in case.

 

im going to keep the tc after all.. I was thinking about trading it in n just use my bro 03' is300 (manuel) cuz is just here sitting n collecting dust but he told me to keep the tc n I could use the is300 whenever cuz he has like 3 other cars. oh well!! thanks y'all for yr responds =)

 

u ppl should only mod your car if u know your going to keep it for a really long time...if not your just wasting money...

btw they will know if u had aftermarket parts since the seal is broken (the blue paint ect)

 

wtheck ey sell your tc and modd that is300 to the max! is300's are SEX.

my friends has a modded is300 its just SEX... and his friend has a is300 thats like 700k mileage.. lol those things are reliable. DO IT! sell that tc no offense on scion but i would sell mine if i had a is300 in the garage just collecting dust lol..

sell ur car and with the money u get left after everything just fix the is300 lol
