Agree, OP I think you should have gone with the 3.5 (the gas mileage isn't that much worse than the 2.5). If you look at the history on this motor, its quite bad.

If you are able to pay off a car in a year or less, you obviously make enough money (or have enough saved) to not really care/notice/be bothered by gas prices and should have sprung for the V6.

....or better yet, bought an Audi S4 (or similarly fun).

i didnt know they started at 21k. thats a bit much and the wheels arent even alloy and it doesnt come with a moon roof standard. glad my parents went the cheaper route and bought me a tc.

 

Not bashing him for buying a new car, just finding it odd that he decided NOT to opt for the V6 when it gets the same MPG as the I-4, and is going to be able to pay this car off in 5 months.

Either that or buy a german car.

Tranny giving out at 56k miles? I have an auto tranny and have 63k miles om my tc with no tranny problems at all. But it is a nice car....just should have gotten the V6.

hahahaha, i keep seeing smart cars, the us versions aren't even that good on gas, every time i see one i just think about what would happen if a soccer mom in a SUV hit one on the high way, it would be like a 18 wheeler hitting a go kart haha.
