Default TRD Shipping Problem

Ok....lol this is a weird thread, but i'm trying to ship my TRD exhaust but i have no idea how to ship this thing, i have a box....its 40Wx40Lx10H with clearance. but usps wouldn't accept that big a size box and fedex and ups charged over 100 to shipp. I know people ship the trd for like 50.....any suggestions?

Thanks -C

Yea man USPS doesn't take anything that big. I think UPS and FedEx are your only alternatives man.Unless you use some run of the mill shipping company that's around your neighborhood.

when i shipped mine i bubble wraped the whole thing and shipped without a box. the guy at my ups store cut an inch or 2 off the measurements here and there due to it's shape and brought it down from 100 to ship to like 45ish.

yea bubble wrap is probolly the cheapest way to go. cause i know when i bought my trd from game-over the cheapest he could get it shipped for was through ups for like 105 with the box. most of the shipping price is for the large box.they charge extra the bigger the box is.

Did you check DHL? i forgot about them, but just using bubble wrap with no box you run a big risk of it getting bent up even more than with a box along with bubble wrap.As for the Greyhound thing i heard about that as well but i don't trust that ____ at all.It goes on a charter bus stored under in the luggage compartment not a truck that's used for shipping. Also they don't deliver to people's addresses, they have to pick it up at the terminal and go through a whole process just to get it.

I understand you're trying to save money on shipping it out, but taking shortcuts could end up biting you in the ___.
Also do a google search on parcel carriers in new york theirs a couple of alternatives you could check out

or you could bubble wrap it, then cut up the cardboard and wrap it around the main parts to protect it more.

Put it in a box somehow! For the sake of whoever your sending it to.

yeah i wrapped the main parts in thick newspaper then put extra bubble wrap on it...Personally i think it should be fine. i mean ppl scrap or bottom out all day with bare contact. I doubt it tipping over a few times will do any damage. lol (knock on wood)

This is what you better be doing to who ever & where ever you're sending it out too.
