Default TRD short shifter

You guys with the TRD short shifter installed... I installed mine yesterday and I love it. But there is like a finger gap between the top of the shift boot and the ****... This is annoying because evertime i shift it makes clicking noise.. How did you guys close this gap? Or do u just drive as is. Thanks

I bet you forgot to install the four spacers under the new cage. I installed mine myself too and that is really the only way that could happen. Hope you didn't throw them away

Yes, There were some smaller ones already installed. And they get replaced with the longer ones. Did you use the supplied TRD shift ****?

If you look at the inside of the TRD shiftknob that is supplied with the shifter, you will notice that it is unthreaded nylon.

It will go on farther if you just crank it really good.

Yeah, the TRD Shifter is a tough one to thread on. Just crank it down it will fit just right.
