i don't know if i read this right or not but i don't think theres a 5year 60000 mile warrenty anymore, this is what it says on trdsparks.com. TRD Superchargers are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of installation or the remainder of the vehicle powertrain warranty, whichever provides greater coverage, when the Supercharger is installed by an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer. TRD Supercharger units sold over the counter and installed by anyone other than an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of purchase. The warranty coverage on these units is limited to the replacement value of the Supercharger and does not include labor.

well I went to my dealership and they quoted me 400 dollar instalation soo 5 more months and its mine hahahaha

Because in reality scion/toyota hates you and all scion owners.

they hate the fact that they have to honor their warranty including their performance parts.

think about it, the S/C is near 3K plus the dealer is going to charge you another 1K for the install. so if any thing goes wrong that they have to fix for free(and theres a 60% chance that some thing will,cause toyota techs are incompetent) they already got their money(and they will still fight tooth and nail to screw you).

for the 05-06 guys, they figure chances are their warranty is done and they have to pay for service and repairs. so they drop the price of the S/C and its all good for them, if some thing goes wrong they only cover the S/C and the install, not your engine.

+1.... Why do we have to spend an extra 1,100 bucks just cuz our cars are a different year. Alot of us of dont have over a grand laying around to spend (which is why we own scions). If the S/C for the 07 were sold for $1,850 i'de be all over it. But for almost 3 grand, we might as well go turbo.
